North Saskatchewan River Shorthead Redhorse is one of the five sucker species available in the North Saskatchewan River. They are caught as an additional species and inhabit slack water areas and mid river pot holes in the thulwag. They are not a great fighter but are capable of stripping baited hooks without detection in a few seconds.
